Nassau County 22-Year-Old Found With Items Stolen From Vehicle, Police Say

A 22-year-old Long Island man was arrested after police said he was found in possession of items stolen from a vehicle.

Shawn Harvey, of Hempstead, was arrested in Mineola at 3 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 6, and charged with criminal possession of stolen property, according to the Nassau County Police Department.

NCPD said a 31-year-old woman noticed items missing from her vehicle, which was parked on Pennsylvania Avenue. Police said the missing items included an iPhone and a pink Dior bag.

Authorities said officers located Harvey near the intersection of Linden Road and Willis Avenue.

Harvey was arrested without incident, said police.

He was scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday, Sept. 7.
